SMD’s workhorse is the fixed dollar contract. We prefer to do hard dollar bids by the foot of drift and ton of ore mined so you can determine your true costs and avoid project cost overruns due to time and material charges or other adders. Our hard dollar unit rates will typically represent 95 to 100% of what we invoice. You will know where you stand before we ever mobilize.
SMD will consider selling ore or metal. If the orebody is adequately modeled to industry standards to ensure confidence in the resource, we can discuss taking the entire mine, including geology, engineering, development, and production mining and sell the ore or metal to the client at a fixed price. With your orebody, this can be an extremely attractive option.
Of course, we can do time and materials or cost-plus contracts. We are willing to discuss the various contract options to determine what is best.
We typically provide the necessary labor, mobile equipment, and various infrastructure to complete our contracts. We can provide as much or as little of the various consumables as required to support the contract.
